I'm commenting on the jenette McCurdy event at Meineke Car Care Center on Blue Diamond Road on Monday, August 16th. What a poorly planned event!!!!!!!!!!! We had to wait for hours in the blazing sun and then my granddaughter never did get an autograph from Jenette. There were so many little girls in the same predicament. We were supplied with water, but not enough!!! They should have covered areas for waiting. I'm surprised that there weren't some medical emergencies at the event. Maybe there was one or two; who knows. Anyway my grandaughter was very upset plus a couple of hundred more little girls. Sharon Wright 702 376-6184
This was amazing!
I met her.
She sang amazingly.
To that sharon lady;
-NO ONE got an autograph.
-It's las vegas. Of course it's hot.
-Do you think theyre going to cover whole the parking lot??
Anyway,this was a great event.
It was free which made it even more great.
I LOVEEEE JENNETTE.
What a great idea, but so poorly planned out. It's like they didn't anticipate the draw of this lovely young lady. We stood out there for three hours, lucky we thought to bring an umbrella, the folks at Meineke were lovely to bring out water to everyone and yet when we were within FEET of the door, they turned us away. The reason? They "ran out of time, there were so many people". The line behind us stretched on out through the parking lot, all the way to In N Out and back around. In the end we, or rather I as there was no way for small people to see over the larger people, got to see the talented young lady sing. Before she even came on 'stage' the crowd was pressing quite dangerously and I was very concerned for the young person in my charge, as she began singing the pressing became more intense and we were forced to retreat for safety reasons after only one song.
The event at Meineke was planned out extremely well, and the turn out was incredible. They supplied tons of water, and had people walking around constantly handing them out. The event was about supplying needy children with school supplies, and being able to do that in itself was such a blessing. The Meineke employees and helpers were gracious with there work and everyone did everything they could to make sure people were satisfied, unfortunately, some people weren't able to meet Jennette McCurdy. She was scheduled to do a meet and greet from 5:00 to 6:00 and she did so, even for a few extra minutes. The people who weren't able to meet her were still able to watch her perform in concert. The concert was incredible, Jennette is extremely talented and put on a wonderful show. I understand that your child couldn't see, but I also understand the fact that Meineke couldn't set up over 2,000 chairs in that parking lot for every person that attended the event. Everyone involved did the best they could to make it pleasurable, and more people were impressed and satisfied than not. I'm just grateful I was able to help children who are less fortunate.
