Vegas Valley Book Festival
featuring E.L. Doctorow and Kay Ryan
Presented by sponsors Black Mountain Institute, Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, the City of Las Vegas and a host of others, the 2009 Vegas Valley Book Festival will run November 4-8. Noted authors featured at the festival include Kay Ryan, Poet Laureate of the United States and E.L. Doctorow, one of America's most acclaimed authors. Events will be held at both Historic Fifth Street School and the Clark County Library, Flamingo branch with possible additions as events are confirmed. The festival is a celebration of the written, spoken and illustrated work and is the largest annual literary event in Las Vegas. More than 100 authors participating in a full schedule of readings, poetry and spoken word performances, children's literature, vendors and special events.
