Run Away with CRIQUE dU SOLEIL
This will be the 8th year of the annual RUN AWAY WITH CIRQUE du SOlEIL, a 5K and 1 mile fun walk on the morning of Saturday, March 21st. Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman will begin the run/walk with a shotgun start while Flo Rogers, general manager of Nevada Public Radio will emcee the day's event. The first 1200 participants to sign-up will receive an event t-shirt and a raffle ticket for a great hotel-dinner & show packages to one of the Cirque du Soleil shows. Also to be won will be the grand prize of a trip to Orlando to see "La Nouba" at Walt Disney World, including flight, hotel and park hopper passes. Included in the raffle are passes to Springs Preserve and other treasures. A family-style event, this run/walk will incude massage therapy, face painting, a circus play area for children and refreshments provided by Whole Foods Markets. All proceeds from the race, walk and raffle will benefit the SPRINGS PRESERVE FOUNDATION. NOTE the early start time (7:00 am) for registration, 8:30am race/walk time.
