Jazz in the Park Series featuring The Dirty Dozen Brass Band
Annual Jazz Festival comes back to Las Vegas
Saturday, May 10 | 8 p.m. | The Clark County Amphitheater
After 30 years and 11 albums the Dirty Dozen Brass Band has established itself as one of the most influential Brass Bands of all time. Hailing from New Orleans, the group revolutionized brass by infusing elements of funk and R & B into their traditional New Orleans style. Their 2006 release "What's Goin' On?," inspired by the Marvin Gaye album of the same name, addresses the tragic impact of Hurricane Katrina on the New Orleans community. The group has collaborated with many popular artists over the years including Nora Jones, Modest Mouse and Elvis Costello
The Jazz in the Park concert series has become a Las Vegas tradition with over 18 years of performances from some of the biggest names in jazz. All concerts are free and food and beverages are available for purchase on site. Picnics, blankets and low back chairs are welcome. No pets allowed.
