Admire amazing athletes
If the Olympics haven’t inspired you enough, watching these athletes tackle the triathlon in the desert heat should do it. The Lake Las Vegas Triathlon’s short race is a 500-meter swim, 10.6-mile bike ride and 5K run; the long one is a 1,500-meter swim, 40K bike ride and 10K run.
