Staybridge Suites Las Vegas Plans August 8th Ice Cream Social to help 'Give Kids the World'

Las Vegas residents are encouraged to stop by Staybridge Suites Las Vegas at 5735 Dean Martin Dr. from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday August 8th and enjoy free ice cream.

Donations will be accepted for Give Kids The World (GKTW), a non-profit organization that fulfills the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Ice cream for breakfast, lunch or dinner is just one of the fun perks these children experience at GKTW Village.

A variety of ice cream treats will be served in the hotel’s Social Room and a special appearance by Jabbawockeez is planned. Staybridge Suites hopes to raise a minimum of $1,000.

Nicole Marshall, Director of Sales for Staybridge Suites Las Vegas, said Give Kids the World is an organization Staybridge Suites’ parent company, IHG, is very involved with.

She added that August 8th will be a great opportunity to take an ice cream break and help a great cause. “We want to encourage everyone to sneak away for a bit on a Friday, have some ice cream and become aware of this amazing village and what they do,” said Marshall, who joined Staybridge Suites in 2013.

“I’ve been immensely moved by this cause and what Give Kids the World does for children and their families,” she said, adding that Staybridge Suites held its first Ice Cream Social last year. “I knew I wanted to make this summer’s ice cream social bigger -- with a Vegas feel. We’re even working with GKTW to invite families from Las Vegas and Henderson that have visited the Village to join us for the ice cream social.”

Staybridge Suites will also accept donations from those not able to attend the August 8th event, which is supported by the Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association.
