Helping to Protect Members in Nearly 1,500 Neighborhoods with More Than 50,000 Daily Crime Alerts

Las Vegas, NV – July 22, 2014 ― AlertID, your family neighborhood safety network, which is based in Las Vegas, is pleased to announce that is now delivers more than 50,000 crime alerts every day to members in nearly 1,500 neighborhoods across the valley. These critical safety alerts help people keep their families and neighbors safer.

AlertID has established partnerships with the Las Vegas Metropolitan, Henderson and North Las Vegas Police Departments, and provides free easy to use mobile apps and an online site to help connect law enforcement and residents. Members receive information about crimes in their areas and can then alert their family members, neighbors and members of law enforcement using AlertID’s Secure Social Network that guarantees privacy.

“Las Vegas Metro started with AlertID almost 3 years ago, and we have used the system extensively to help protect our neighborhoods here in Las Vegas. AlertID now helps to protect nearly 1,500 neighborhoods in southern Nevada and continues to grow. Additionally, we utilize AlertID to keep LVMPD employees up to date on crimes in progress and current police operations. AlertID is a component that helps the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department keep our community safe,” said Captain Jim Seebock, Las Vegas Metro Police Department.

After signing up for AlertID’s free service at www.AlertID.com, members are able to view an interactive map that displays crimes and sex offenders in their neighborhood. They can receive alerts and information via email or mobile device for multiple locations such as their home, school, work or current location. Once signed up, members valley wide then have the ability to receive law enforcement emergency alerts, crime and sex offender alerts, prevention tips and other AlertID services. AlertID also includes a virtual neighborhood watch where members can share photos and information regarding suspicious activity with neighbors, police and even Homeland Security.

AlertID has been used routinely in the Las Vegas valley to help to find missing persons and children, to seek help from the public in crime cases and helped to reunite lost pets with their families. Emergency authorities also have the ability to broadcast Amber Alerts and other urgent community alerts regarding crime emergencies, hazmat incidents, floods, fires, and severe weather, among others.

“We are proud of our successful partnerships with law enforcement in the Las Vegas Area in our effort to protect families in Clark County. When people are informed, they can take the steps necessary to protect themselves and their neighbors. Our goal is to help protect families and neighborhoods throughout the Las Vegas Valley and working as a team, we can accomplish this goal,” said Ken Wiles, AlertID CEO.
