"Inspire" Your "Scull" at the 2014 Las Vegas Film Festival
Las Vegas Film Festival Moves to New Home in Downtown Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV, July 11, 2014 - The 2014 Las Vegas Film Festival (LVFF) moves from its usual home atthe Las Vegas Hilton to Fremont East in Downtown Las Vegas. Stepping in as its title sponsor, Zappos.com welcomes LVFF to its neighborhood culture of arts and technology.

"It's an exciting opportunity to take part in the renaissance of Downtown Las Vegas," said Milo Kostelecky, Executive Director of Las Vegas Film Festival. "The area is full of great energy and creative minds that align with our festival's mission. We're proud to start establishing an identity for us in the heart
of the downtown community."

From July 30 - August 3, experience LVFF's expansion to a 5-day event, boasting 70 film screenings and 8 festival parties. As LVFF’s Official Hotel Sponsor, Downtown Grand will be opening its doors to host filmmakers and guests traveling from outside the city. To kick off celebrations, the Festival will hold its Opening Ceremony at Inspire Rooftop Bar. Filmmakers, special guests, and the public can enjoy films showcased at downtown theaters inside Inspire and Scullery.

Regarding the festival's lineup, West McDowell, Director of Programming at LVFF, says, "You can expect to see a varied program of high quality work from our Official Selection this year; expect some tears …some from too much laughter and some from tugs on the heartstrings. Infinite Man, A Brony Tale, Heaven Adores You, Ukraine Is Not a Brothel – these titles are festival centerpieces not to miss.”

True to Downtown Las Vegas’ emphasis on community support, LVFF 2014’s film schedule has no shortage of local talent. Popovich and the Voice of the Fabled American West is the highly anticipated film by brothers and local Las Vegas directors Jerry and Mike Thompson. Partnerships with the film
departments at University of Nevada Las Vegas and College of Southern Nevada ensure a strong presence for local filmmakers. This year the Festival will also premiere its inaugural Music Video Lab,sponsored by The Downtown Project, featuring music videos with performances by local bands and
filmed by local directors.

Between screenings, filmmakers can meet at Coterie and Wayfarer to mingle at sponsor-hosted mixers. In the evening, attendees can enjoy after parties at local establishments like Inspire Rooftop Bar, Atomic Liquors, Gold Spike, and the lawn at Container Park. Revelers can enjoy these spaces all in walking
distance from one another.

We would like to thank our Leading Sponsor, Southern Wine and Spirits of
Nevada for partnering with us each year and providing our guests with best in class beverage choices while they partake in the festivities at all LVFF event locations over the course of the weekend.

Offering quality entertainment, fun after parties in unique spaces, and diverse personalities from the crowd LVFF is sure to draw, the 2014 Las Vegas Film Festival is the event to mark on your calendar. For
