Las Vegas, NV - June 23 - Leavitt Group Insurance has selected the B.C. McCabe Clubhouse of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, to sponsor a monthly birthday party. Every child deserves a birthday party - especially children living in the lowest income area of Southern Nevada. Many of these children are considered 'at risk' of not graduating with their peers, or facing special challenges such as a criminal background, family or personal issues. Fortunately the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada provide resources and programs that can help with mentoring, guidance, counseling, tutoring, work experience and more.
The goal of these monthly events is to brighten the lives of children by providing fun, meaningful and memorable birthday parties during what can be an awkward and challenging experience in their lives.
Each month, children will celebrate their birthday with their peers and clubhouse staff. Most of their families cannot afford a cake much less a party.
Through Leavitt Group's financial support, volunteer help and donations from other local businesses, these wonderful children will receive a party thrown in their honor. Parties will include birthday cupcakes, pizza, decorations, entertainment and even a birthday present–everything necessary for a special and meaningful party. In a show of community support, Accent T-Shirts has donated 200 custom t-shirts.
Leavitt Group is the 7th largest independently held insurance brokerage in the United States and is dedicated to supporting Southern Nevada youth and young adults through various service programs.
"Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada continues to provide critical youth development programs and learning opportunities in communities across the valley," said Dave Johnson, Leavitt Group Benefits managing partner. "Our partnership helps create safe places for the youngest members of our community to learn and grow. We believe that the success of a business is in direct proportion to it's commitment to the community in which we serve. We take great pride in caring for thousands of businesses and families across Southern Nevada and we are thankful we have the opportunity to care for those who need it most."
