'Pre-Henderson' Church Celebrates 71 Years Of Community Service

St Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church celebrates itʼs 71st Year of community service with its annual festival. The 2 day event begins Friday until Saturday, April 26 & 27, 2014 at 204 S Boulder Highway in Henderson, Nevada. Celebrating its cultural diversity through food, games, entertainment, and arts & crafts, the 2014 Easter Festival will also feature social and human needs organizations such as HopeLink, Living Grace, and the Red Cross, a blood drive, and in addition, new features: a Gift Shop/Boutique and a family circus.

St Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church was founded in 1943 at Basic Townsite and established by the federal government to serve the needs of magnesium factory workers and their families living in the area to supply World War II manufacturers. The City of Henderson became incorporated on April 16 1953. The church later became partof the Diocese of Reno and currently is part of the Diocese of Las Vegas.
