Darris Peterson Named Vice President Of EV&A Architects

(Las Vegas) – EV&A; Architects, a Las Vegas-based architecture firm, today announced that Darris Peterson has been named the firm’s vice president of its Healthcare division.

Peterson brings more than twenty-five years of Healthcare architecture experience to the firm along with his extensive knowledge of local, regional, and national healthcare regulatory requirements as they relate to design and construction. As vice president of the Healthcare division for EV&A;, Peterson provides overall leadership implementing best practice procedures, and oversees the quality control process for every project from start to finish. He maintains direct contact with the clients from inception through occupancy with hands-on involvement during the facility licensing process.

As part owner and an integral part of the EV&A; production team, Peterson works closely with each principal, designer and client, coordinating the efforts with all outside consultants from early programming and planning through schematic phase to the completion of every project. He is instrumental in meeting the applicable codes that govern healthcare projects working closely with all State and Federal agencies as well as local jurisdiction to insure those projects are successful in securing necessary building permits and licensing certifications for construction.

Peterson attended Community College in Colorado Springs, where he earned his associates degree in Architecture & Construction Technology. He is an affiliate member of ASHE, Center for Health Design, Patient Centered Design and American Hospital Association. Some of his notable projects are the one million square foot U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Las Vegas Medical Center, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Northeast Clinic, Covenant Care, Kindred Healthcare and ongoing work at Dignity Health.
