The District at Green Valley Ranch Hosting Weekly Farmers Market

HENDERSON (March 20, 2014) – The District at Green Valley Ranch is hosting a weekly farmers market every Thursday from 4-8 p.m. until June 26. The event, which is sponsored by Rachel’s Kitchen, provides fresh produce, including herbs, tomatoes, kale, eggs, fruits and more. The farmers market takes place on the recently revitalized Main Street, and offers a wide variety of recipes, flowers, locally grown fresh produce, restaurant samplings demos, and live music.

“In continuing our revitalization of The District at Green Valley Ranch, we are welcoming people and their families to interact with local farmers who play a vital role in our community,” said Kim Daskas, director of marketing and strategic sponsorship for The District. “We are excited to host such a new and exciting community event.”

Farmers markets at The District are taking place weekly now through June 26. Following a summer hiatus, they will then resume on Aug. 28 and run until Dec. 18.

The first farmers market took place on March 13 with plenty of attendees. Some farmers at the event included Hy-Desert Produce, Quaik Hollow Farm CSA, Petal Pushers LLC, Cowboy Trail Farm, Crossfire Ranch Produce, Casa Del Sol Gardens, Oak Lane Herb Farm, Pahrump Honey Co., Cardenas Farms, Garys Produce, and Mrs. H Produce.
