LAS VEGAS – September 1, 2013 – The Meadows Mall will become to new Halloween home of the ASYLUM and HOTEL FEAR haunted houses!! Celebrating 15 years of Fear… the Asylum is Nevada’s largest stand-alone haunted attraction. These are the ultimate purveyors of fear as they are the longest and second longest continuously operating haunts in southern Nevada!! The Fear begins October 3rd. Operating 6:30pm to 10:00pm Thursdays and Sundays, and 6:30 pm to 12:00am Friday- Saturdays and Oct, 30 & 31st. We will be open: Oct. 3-6, Oct. 10-13, Oct. 17-20, Oct. 24-27, and Oct. 29-31.
R&J; Productions entered a very crowded Haunt market back in 1999. Slowly the haunts disappeared leaving the Asylum and Hotel Fear one of the few survivors! Not only have we survived but the Asylum has become the standard to which all Las Vegas Haunts are compared to!! Our years of success is based on one simple principle, we provide REAL FEAR!! We created an original and unique storyline and built the attractions around it. We not only set the trends in Las Vegas but for the nation as well. Our Rich Strelak is the only local haunt owner that has been a featured writer for the industry magazine Hauntworld, and lecturer at the industry’s TransWorld’s Halloween Haunt and Attraction Show! Rich is also the only local haunter to teach at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions sharing his knowledge of the haunt business with the likes of Disney, Universal and Six Flags!
The Meadows Mall has been the focal community shopping center since its inception. Their involvement in local community activities has lead them to want to develop the Halloween Season. The Asylum and Hotel Fear are the perfect fit, local iconic attractions that have a national exposure and reputation. Teaming the best attractions with the best local shopping center sets the building blocks for a truly unique Halloween Event.
The Asylum and Hotel Fear have a long standing relationship with many local Las Vegas businesses including Lotus Broadcasting with the POINT and KOMP radio stations, Smith Food and Drug and Carl’s Jr. Many local charities have benefited with everything from donations to tickets for many of those in the valley who may not be able to afford to attend such activities. We are working with the Nevada Broadcasters Association – Tony & Linda Bonnici Scholarship Fund. Partial proceeds to help fund scholarships for passionate students who attend or are about to enter a college or university and will study in the field of broadcasting.
The Asylum and Hotel Fear will now take up residence at the Meadows Mall, 4200 Meadows Lane, between Valley View and Decatur overlooking US 95! They start accepting “patients” 6:30pm to midnight Fridays & Saturdays and 6:30 to 10:00pm Thursdays & Sundays. Tickets are $15.00 for a single attraction, $25.00 for a Combo ticket to both haunts. VIP tickets are also available for those nights when the lines begin to form!
