Las Vegas Gets Graded on Spending Transparency
New Report Compares Las Vegas to Other Major Cities Across America


WHAT: U. S. PIRG Education Fund is releasing a new report that reviews and grades the nation’s 30 largest cities on how well they provide online access to information about city spending, contracting, subsidies and service requests. Each city will receive an “A” to “F” grade based on information that was confirmed with public officials . Transparency in city spending increases accountability, reduces corruption, and promotes greater effectiveness and fiscal responsibility. The report reveals Las Vegas’ grade, as well as a series of recommendations for improvement.

EXCITING VISUALS: A giant poster-sized report card with Las Vegas’ scores and overall grade will be displayed. The colorful report color will also display Las Vegas’ ranking among other major cities.
