Hope Cancer Care of Nevada introduces CAM services for Chemotherapy Patients

(Las Vegas – January 3, 2013) - Hope Cancer Care of Nevada now provides Complementary Alternative Medicine to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment with addition of massage therapist John Parks to the practice.

Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) is used to help patients relieve stress or cope with side effects of cancer treatments. The techniques and practices include massage, Reiki, meditation, aroma therapy, or creative outlets. All of the techniques have been modified to meet the needs of cancer patients and takes into consideration the patient’s health goals. These practices help the body’s immune system to function better and bolster the patient’s quality of life during active cancer treatments.

John Parks comes to Hope Cancer Care of Nevada as Nevada’s only oncology trained massage therapist. He graduated top of his class from Northwest Health Careers in massage therapy. He is a licensed massage therapist and nationally certified in therapeutic massage with over 11 years in practice.
