Brand Marketing Nets Five AIGA Design Awards
Published on Thu, Oct 4, 2012 (4:55 p.m.)Las Vegas, NV (October 4, 2012) --- BRAND Marketing was honored with five awards at the recent AIGA 2012 Work Show. The Las Vegas-based full-service marketing and public relations firm scored high in the Television Spots, Identity, Integrated Branding, Website design and Stationery design categories.
AIGA is the oldest and largest professional association dedicated to the graphic arts. But its annual awards ceremony is far more than a good excuse for the Las Vegas design community to mix, mingle, nibble and network. It recognizes local agencies and in-house design teams who are pushing the limits of the graphic arts.
The theme of this year’s show was “We See Things Differently,” an appropriate motif for an industry that is constantly challenged to create new ways of capturing attention and communicating information. All entries were judged by design industry luminaries Aaron Draplin, of Draplin Design Co., Julie Beeler of Second Story, and Noreen Morioka, of AdamsMorioka.
BRAND Marketing won a Silver award for its integrated branding campaign for Altrient, Inc., a maker of high-performance nutritional supplements located in Las Vegas (www.altrient.com). The campaign launched this new company in the marketplace and was recognized for its holistic use of design, color and typography throughout Altrient’s product packaging, consumer and corporate messaging, and marketing communications.
BRAND’s design solution flowed from a series of compelling wave patterns, representing Altrient’s unique nutrient delivery system and reinforcing how its products are absorbed into the body and integrated into the cells. The waves could be animated for use in television and other electronic media.
BRAND also garnered a Silver award for its new website, www.brandltd.com. The site has been completely redesigned to capture the originality and personality of the agency. It also guides visitors through BRAND’s comprehensive, proprietary brand development process, which begins with the brand’s DNA and results in an authentic, fully actualized “person” consumers can relate to and trust.
The agency also received two Bronze awards. The first was for a stationery system for client Pisanelli Bice. The refined and restrained embossed stationery evoked the architecture of the client’s office space.
A second Bronze honored a touching television spot for Altrient, Inc. The video titled, “A Little Promise,” showed how Altrient™ C, an advanced vitamin C supplement, helps a grandfather fulfill his personal responsibility to share more of his time, energy and experiences with his young, energetic grandson.
Finally, BRAND earned a Merit award for its logo for client, Facesthetics. The logo embraces the strong influence of the client’s cultural heritage and its tradition of enhancing facial skin naturally. A blossoming flower illustrates the Facesthetics philosophy of creating beauty from the inside out.
