More staff changes

The Las Vegas Wranglers are preparing to formally introduce new head coach and general manager Ryan Mougenel at a press conference inside the Orleans Arena Tuesday morning.

But Mougenel will take the reigns of Las Vegas' ECHL hockey club without a few familiar faces.

Long-time Wranglers equipment manager Brian Garcia is headed to Austin to join former Wranglers coach Glen Gulutzan and former media relations director Josh Fisher with the American Hockey League's Texas Stars.

Garcia, who spent four seasons with the Wranglers, represented the National Conference in the 2009 ECHL All-Star game.

Current team athletic trainer Scott McLay will most likely assume Garcia's role in addition to his current duties.

The Wranglers official team website has deleted assistant coach Mike McBain's name from its hockey staff list. So, as expected, it seems as if Mougenel is going to be the lone bench boss this season.

The Wranglers have replaced one key off-season loss in the position of media relations director.

After six years with the Wranglers, it was due time for Fisher to move up in the hockey world. Replacing him will be 25-year-old Graham Kahr.

Kahr, a Northern Arizona University graduate, has worked in Las Vegas for the past two years in the magazine world. His most recent stint was with Luxurious Life Magazine, where he served as the editorial director.
