Blues hire former Las Vegas trainer

The St. Louis Blues of the NHL hired former Las Vegas Wranglers trainer Mike Hannegan as the team's new assistant athletic trainer.

Hannegan, a nine-year veteran in professional hockey, spent three seasons with the Wranglers before moving to the Peoria Rivermen of the American Hockey League. He represented Las Vegas in the 2006 ECHL All Star game.

Hannegan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training/Exercise Physiology from Chapman University and a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Certified Athletic Trainer (NATA), Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM), and Performance Exercise Specialist (NASM).
