The Quad City Flames of the American Hockey League reassigned defenseman Dan Spang to the Las Vegas Wranglers on Tuesday.
Spang recorded eight points (1 goal, seven assists) in 30 games with Quad City this season.
The San Jose Sharks drafted the Winchester, Mass. native 52nd overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Spang then spent four years at Boston University before staring his professional career with the Cleveland Barons of the AHL.
Last season Spang racked up 31 points and 41 penalty minutes in 77 games with the AHL's Worcester Sharks.
The Wranglers (16-16-3) return to the Orleans Arena this weekend for a three-game home stand against the Victoria Salmon Kings (26-10-4) on Friday (7:30 p.m.), Saturday (7:30 p.m.) and Sunday (2:05 p.m.).
