Hockey mom at Wranglers game to win shopping spree

One lucky hockey mom will win a $150 shopping spree at upscale retailer Neiman Marcus during Friday night’s ECHL game between the Las Vegas Wranglers and Ontario Reign at the Orleans Arena.

“A tough standard has been set,” said Wranglers President and COO Billy Johnson. “There’s a normal every day hockey mom out there dropping a 150-something-dollar shopping spree and setting the bar for ham-and-egger hockey moms."

Johnson didn't mention the hockey mom by name. While I'm no Hanson Brother, my guess is he was referring to the Governor of Alaska.

“We would have liked to have offered more than $150,” Johnson added, “but commas and zeroes can get expensive.”

Besides, if the Wranglers offered $150,000, they couldn't pay their checking line.

The shopping spree without the zeroes and comma is the just the latest nod to current events from the organization which once staged "Dick Cheney Hunting Vest Night" at the Orleans Arena.

The puck drops Friday at 7:30 pm.
