(A team of Sun reporters is at the Republican National Convention this week in St. Paul.)
Morning readers. It's Day One of the Republican National Convention.
State Republicans are a little sparse at an Arizona-Nevada delegation breakfast. Rep. John Shadegg, an Arizona conservative, is throwing out some red-meat, calling the Obama-Biden ticket a product of the "radical left." He extols the wonders of freedom and free markets and says the Democrats are out to take it. He's also launching an attack on Speaker Nancy Pelosi for running a closed, anti-democratic house. The people here love him. It's also a weird vibe in the Twin Cities, however, with the hurricane touching down on the Gulf Coast, President Bush isn't attending.
