Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. . Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

San Francisco Giants (-110) at Kansas City Royals: $440 to win $400 : The feel-good story that is the Kansas City Royals will come to an end in the World Series against the San Francisco Giants starting tonight.

The Giants have won nine consecutive playoff rounds and the World Series in 2010 and 2012. Their Game One starter tonight, Madison Bumgarner, is virtually unbeatable when it comes to October baseball. He’s just 25 and already has two World Series victories to his credit. And this postseason, he has a 1.42 earned run average in four starts.

Sure, the Royals’ eight-game winning streak to open the playoffs is impressive. But the Giants enter the World Series equally hot. More important, San Francisco is the better team.

Standings: Bern (48-45-1, $10,321), Keefer (45-51, $8,631), Brewer (43-49-3, $5,555)
