Vegas Play of the Day: Milwaukee at Minnesota

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Minnesota Timberwolves plus-1.5 vs. Milwaukee Bucks: $550 to win $500 : The Milwaukee Bucks are the NBA’s most improved team, posting an 8-7 record in the initial few weeks of the season after winning just 15 games in 2013-14. But the Bucks still have one of the league’s youngest teams, which is why I’ll be betting against them tonight in Minnesota.

Minnesota is just a three-win team and recently lost its best player, wing Kevin Martin, to injury. But the Timberwolves still match-up well against Milwaukee in a battle of two teams with rosters dominated by players in the their early 20s. Minnesota’s young players didn’t play last night. They’ll be well-rested and eager for one of the rare opportunities to grab a victory.
