Vegas Play of the Day: Memphis at Phoenix

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Phoenix Suns minus-1 vs. Memphis Grizzlies: $550 to win $500 :

Even though Memphis is undefeated in four games, the Grizzlies rank No. 24 in the NBA in scoring at 91.5 points per game and scored just 71 last week in a win at Charlotte. They can’t match fast-paced Phoenix, which scores 104 points per game, basket-for-basket.

Phoenix is tough to beat at home, including a win last week against the defending champion San Antonio Spurs. And while Phoenix played last night, they won't be fatigued this early in the NBA season.

Take the better team with an easy-to-cover point spread.
