For the first time in the history of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point and $10,000 starting bankrolls, two bettors are profitable for the year.

The distinction could go away as soon as tomorrow, so the pressure is on to keep rolling.

New York Jets minus-1 vs. New York Giants: $330 to win $300

No matter if the Giants go 0-16 and the Jets finish undefeated, the latter will always be little brother in the hometown they share. That’s why it’s unsurprising that their annual preseason meeting is more important to the green team.

The Jets lead the all-time series by a margin of four games, and have won four of six under the current regime. This year, the game falls even more in the Jets’ favor.

Having played in the Hall of Fame game to kick off the preseason, the Giants wrap up their exhibition slate tonight. The team intends to play its starters into the second half, but the last preseason game is always reserved for the end-of-the-roster players to make one last case for their inclusion on the 53-man team.

The Jets, like everyone else other than the Giants’ Hall of Fame opponent Bills in the NFL, are on game three where teams traditionally play closest to a real game. Expect Jets coach Rex Ryan to have a plan for the Giants and a drive to come away with a victory.

The Giants’ perfect straight-up and against the spread record in the preseason will be ruined.

Standings: Bern (42-33-1, $12,617), Keefer (37-39, $10,092), Brewer (30-43-3, $1,800)
