The Las Vegas 51s had 19 hits Friday night and scored six runs in the eighth inning of a 10-1 victory against the visiting Oklahoma City RedHawks.
Buck Coats and Brett Harper each had two-run doubles in the eighth inning.
Las Vegas scored three runs in the third inning to take the lead for good. J. P. Arencibia had a two-run single in the outburst and Harper, who finished with three hits and four RBIs, plated another run with a single.
Coats went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIS and Randy Ruiz had three hits and three runs scored.
Brian Burres (2-4) only gave up three hits in six scoreless innings for the win.
The teams continue their four-game series at 7:05 p.m. Saturday and finish the series at 12:05 p.m. Sunday.
