51s’ Randy Ruiz selected for Triple-A All-Star game

Las Vegas 51s first baseman Randy Ruiz will take his red-hot bat to Portland on July 15, as he was selected to play for the Pacific Coast League squad in the 2009 Triple-A All-Star game.

Ruiz is hitting .322 for the 51s, 15 home runs, 33 doubles and 70 RBI.

In the 11 years since the game took its current format, the PCL holds a 6-5 edge on the International League.
