The Las Vegas 51s failed to get into the win column again on Saturday afternoon.

They committed three errors in falling 6-4 to host Colorado Springs for their third loss in as many days to open the season.

The 51s – like they have done in their first two games— scored in the first inning to take an early lead. Randy Ruiz, who had three hits, plated Scott Campbell with a single to give Las Vegas a 1-0 advantage.

But Colorado Springs scored all six of its runs in the first four innings, including a two-run single from Edwin Bellorin in the fourth inning to give the Sky Sox a comfortable 6-1 lead.

Las Vegas starter Bradley Mills gave up six runs in 3 and 2/3 innings, but only three of the runs were earned.

The 51s rallied with three runs in the sixth inning to cut their deficit to two runs, but only had one hit the remainder of the game.

The teams conclude their series Sunday at 12:05 p.m. Las Vegas plays at Salt Lake City Monday through Thursday before opening its home schedule Friday at 7:05 p.m. against Colorado Springs.
