The Ultimate Fighting Championship officially confirmed the date for its special summer anniversary show, setting UFC 100 for July 11 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
While the promotion didn't release any specifics regarding match-ups or ticketing information for UFC 100, the event is expected to feature at least two championship matches including the rescheduled rematch between current heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and interim titleholder Frank Mir, which was originally scheduled for UFC 98 on May 23.
Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre is also slated to defend his title against No. 1 contender Thiago Alves as well as the scheduled showdown between "The Ultimate Fighter" Season No. 9 coaches Dan Henderson and Michael Bisping.
"UFC 100 is going to deliver," said UFC President Dana White in an interview before UFC 95. "People are going to be really pumped about that card."
