Pacquiao favored to beat Hatton in megabout

Manny Pacquiao has been installed as a minus 215 betting favorite (risk $2.15 to net $1) against Ricky Hatton in their junior welterweight fight May 2, according to odds at the Las Vegas Hilton sports book.

The price on Hatton opened at plus 185 (risk $1 to net $1.85) at the Hilton.

In the round proposition, it's minus 140 that the scheduled 12-rounder will last at least until the 1:30 mark of the 10th round. It's plus 120 the fight will end before 1:30 of Round 10.

Pacquiao, of the Philippines, is coming off a victory against Oscar De La Hoya in December. Hatton, of Manchester, England, stopped Paulie Malignaggi in November in his most recent fight.

  1. Although I am a little nervous about this, I still believe, Manny Pacquiao will win the fight. Hatton fought a practically defenseless Malignaggi. In said fight, if Malignaggi was Manny, Manny could have knocked out Hatton. There were plenty of lapses in the defense of Ricky. I was not impressed at all with Ricky's performance. He was a careless fighter, a devil-may-care. His style is tailor-made for the Pacman. If he fights the same way with Manny, 12 rounds is too long for him.

  2. I would have loved to see the pac-man vs Maywheater.

I think the pac-man would have won, but all this is to late to see now that only the pac-man remains, somethig to be said about staying power.

Pac-man for the next 3 three years or more if he can keep the focus.

  3. the loser will give the winner a Haney...
