Tuesday night fight card set at Silver Nugget

Boxing returns to the Silver Nugget on Tuesday night for the first time in more than 10 years with a five-fight card that will be a monthly feature at the casino’s events center.

In the featured six-round bout, welterweight Terrence Jett of Las Vegas will battle Charles Wade of Philadelphia.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the action will begin at 7. Tickets are $20 and $30 for VIP seating. Call 320-2695 for more information.

Terrence Jett (3-11) vs. Charles Wade (4-6)

Welterweights, 6 rounds

Jett, 33, has lost his last four fights and is 2-1-2 in the showroom at the Orleans Hotel. Wade, 30, won his first four pro bouts and has lost his past six. He dropped one, on a first-round TKO, at Mandalay Bay in March.

Clarence Tillman (1-1) vs. Yohan Banks (0-1)

Heavyweights, 4 rounds

Tillman, who lives in Henderson, lost his debut in March at the Thomas & Mack Center. He could push 300 pounds by the first bell. Banks lost his debut in El Cajon, Calif., almost a year ago.

Renell Griffin (2-1) vs. Shawn Wate (0-1-1)

Super lightweights, 4 rounds

Griffin has fought all of his bouts in his native Louisiana. He’s a natural lightweight. Wate is from Paramount, Calif.

Antonio Hernandez (0-1-1) vs. Jesus Adame (1-1)

Bantamweights, 4 rounds

A North Las Vegas resident, Hernandez fought his first two battles at the Orleans. Adame hails from Mexico.

Gabe Del Real vs. Sean Dizay

Welterweights, 4 rounds

The Las Vegas residents are making the professional debuts.
