The offshore betting exchange InTrade is offering a contract on whether Sarah Palin will officially be withdrawn as the Republican vice presidential nominee or candidate before the presidential election.
In a market that's fairly illiquid in the early going of the betting, the bid price on the prop is listed at 13 with an ask price of 13.6 at InTrade, which is incorporated in Ireland.
In Las Vegas terms, it's approximately a 7-1 shot Palin will drop out.
Betting on politics is not permitted in Nevada.

Why would she drop out? She's a great choice!
Dave must be a Democrat. Only Democrats feel that way. Unless Dave believes that sex ed is bad, Alaska should secede, earmarks are bad for everyone but her, all employees should be fired if they don't vote for the winning candidate, God decided we needed to fight an unnecessary war in Iraq, and the Bridge to Nowhere is a great thing until it might interfere with your chances of winning office as an alleged reformer, at which time you change your mind and hope people forget that you were a director of indicted Senator Ted Stevens' PAC.
But she DOES fit in well with McSame the once courageous POW turned lying, hypocritical, philandering political coward.
Obama has very little experience in anything but being a college professor and a slum lord lawyer.
He does not have any significant experience on foreign policy or economy policy.
He does not have any executive experience.
McCain has significant foreign policy experience.
Palin has some executive experience.
Obama had to get a McCain-like person to be his VP to gain some foreign policy credentials. Somebody who voted for the war. Obama said the war decision disqualified McCain as being a foreign policy expert. Boy....talk about having things both ways.
Obama has accomplished very little as a US Senator. Can anybody name any major thing he did as US Senator?
ZERO.........
At least you are attacking Palin because she has actually done something.....shocker!
She stood up to her own party's establishment.
Obama embraced Chicago corrupt politics.
McCain fights with his own party in DC.
Obama has kissed his butt's party in DC.
No courage there in Obama.
Obama core fundraiser in South Chicago was the biggest convicted crook there. That crook help him buy his first house.
Obama stinks!
I don't care who's name you put in the title and body of this blog - republican, democrat, independent - I take it as a bit of comedy and think it's kinda funny. And whatever supernatural being you believe in knows we all need a good laugh, the more often the better!
I wonder why democrats are so frightened of Governor Palin ?
Dems are frightened of her because she's going to pull in a lot of the female swing voters that Obama needs. Brilliant choice. McCain wins with Palin.
Palin has more practical experience as a leader than Obama. Palin's rise to power (at least as far as the media has reported) was not fueled by "machine politics" like Obama. As Veep, Palin most likely will not shoot her friends when hunting. As Veep, Palin can clean her own fish and game. When Obama was first running I was duped into thinking he was something special. Now I know that his only practical employment experience has been a law professor. He couldn't hack it at a private firm so he went to work as an organizer?
Come on folks. If I had to choose, is he the messiah or the antichrist, I'd lean towards the latter.
I think the choice of Palin was a politically stupid from the start. The GOP lost both houses of congress a few years ago and Bush's approval ratings are dismal. The Dems have a candidate that can be beat and there were better choices as veep for 72 year old John McCain to seal the election. I think he might have cost himself the election with his choice of veep.
Lets have more big government and taxes, vote Obama. Maybe he can appoint Willian Ayers and Tony Resko to cabinet positions.
Hey, man ... can't we keep politics out of sports? I go here to get away from all the politcal BS.
Mikeg, female SWING votes? Don't bet on it. Better to bet that Palin will not be McSames' final choice for V.P.
maybe the news of her having had an affair will cause her to drop out.
As a Republican, I can only say, Palin is the sexiest politician yet. It's easy to see where Bristol got her looks and knockout figure from.
There are very few Republicans or even Democrats who would have a hard time not having an affair with her IF they could.
Wowie is all I have to say.
You guys didnt watch CNN. Tucker Bounds has already stated it quite eloquently. Miss Palin has more foreign policy experience than Obama or even Bush for that matter can ever have. Alaska is directly across the ocean from Russia. They just invaded Georgia, you'd think they stop at Alaska???????? Plus Canada is right next to Alaska. That doubles her foreign policy experience just like that. Democrats can't make that claim. Last I checked, Delaware and Illinois were nowhere near another country.
I forgot, Senator McCain is from Arizon too, right next to Mexico. Triple the foreign policy points that Obama and Biden could ever hope for.
I get steamed every time someone mentions Palin and her ability to raise a family and be in office. How come we never ask the MALE candidates those questions? Obama has little ones - will he have time to be a father while in office? Or are we still stuck in the rut of the old barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen thought process.
