Louisiana State quarterback Andrew Hatch, a Cimarron-Memorial High graduate, scored on a short run early in the third quarter Saturday night to cut the Tigers’ deficit to 20-14 at Florida.

No. 4 LSU had trailed the 11th-ranked Gators 20-0.

With 8 minutes, 41 seconds remaining in the third quarter, Hatch ran it in from 3 yards out to get the Tigers back in the game.

Florida scored later in the quarter to pump its advantage to 27-14. The Gators kept rolling and won, 51-21.

Hatch, a 6-foot-3, 214-pound junior, transferred to LSU from Harvard in the summer of 2007.
