Field narrowed in heads-up poker tourney

The starting field of 64 players has been narrowed to 16 as play continues in the National Heads-Up Poker Championship at Caesars Palace.

The biggest surprise among the remaining players is Orel Hershiser, who faces Freddy Deeb in the next round after upending Allen Cunningham.

Also in the next round, it's Andy Bloch vs. Scott Fischman; Huck Seed vs. Michael Mizrachi; and David Benyamine vs. Doyle Brunson.

The other players alive are Chris Ferguson, Gus Hansen, Phil Ivey, Phil Laak, Jonathan Little, Mike Matusow, Greg Raymer and J.C. Tran.
