Guillard came out wearing sunglasses. That’s kind of an odd choice in an arena that’s mostly dark.
He then completely dominated Dennis Siver. The fight was stopped in less than a minute after a series of brutal punches.
It’s a nice moment for Melvin.
“I’m back,” he said following the fight. “I want to be a contender. I want to be in the Top 5.”
They just replayed the finish and Guilard absolutely devastated his opponent with the final flurry.
Lorenzo Fertitta is now cageside. It’s his first event as UFC chairman.
In the seats behind me is CB Dalloway, still sporting a mean black eye from his fight two weeks ago against Amir Saddolah.
Saddolah is sitting in a different section.
Also, in the first fight, all three judges scored the first round for Corey Hill, who lost by submission to Justin Buchholz in the second round.
