A great first fight. This one will likely be seen on TV if there’s some extra time at the end of the pay-per-view.
The UFC often airs these preliminary fights if there’s enough time during the three-hour telecast. So if the Rampage-Forrest fight doesn’t go the distance, be prepared to see Buchholz-Hill.
Urijah Faber, the WEC 145-pound champ, was in Buchholz’s corner. Maybe that was a difference maker.
Buchholz won via reverse naked choke in the second round.
Next up: Dennis Siver vs Melvin Guillard.
Guillard’s suspension for cocaine use should be behind him. But he needs this win to move up the ladder in the 155-pound division.
It will be interesting to see how the crowd responds to Guillard. He’s never been a fan favorite.
