The Las Vegas Wranglers eked by Stockton, 3-2, on Sunday night in California but continued to pelt the Thunder with shots.
In three ECHL National Conference quarterfinal games, Las Vegas has taken 136 shots on the Stockton net. The Thunder has retaliated with only 65 attempts on Wranglers rookie goalie Kevin Lalande.
Despite the bombardment, Las Vegas owns a 2-1 edge in the best-of-seven series by the slimmest of margins.
Saturday night in Las Vegas, the Wranglers scored on the first shot of overtime for the victory. Sunday, Aki Seitsonen slapped in the short-handed game winner with 12 seconds left in regulation.
The series resumes Friday and Sunday at the Stockton Arena.
