UNLV Athletics Director Mike Hamrick announced on Tuesday the delivery and installment in the Thomas & Mack Center of some new visual delights.

The additions include an LED (light emitting diodes) videoboard (which also serves as a center-hung scoreboard), a new scorer's table display and partial ribbon boards around the ring separating the lower and upper levels.

The video display equipment, part of a $3.1 million upgrade to UNLV's athletic facilities, was funded by ISP Sports, which owns the multimedia rights, corporate sales and sponsorship development for athletics, special events and entertainment.

"This equipment will allow us to enhance and create new interactive opportunities for our fans, event producers and corporate clients at every event the Thomas & Mack Center hosts," Hamrick said. "Our basketball program is again receiving national recognition and exciting the community and we have always had world-renown special events. These equipment upgrades will add to the experience of our spectators and improve our events."

Currently being installed is a new LED marquee billboard at the corner of Tropicana and Swenson. This fall, a new baseball scoreboard at Wilson Stadium will be installed.
