Vegas DeLuxe has just obtained the newest set of extraordinary photos of MGM’s amazing CityCenter complex opening now in less than 25 days. I’ll get one of the first official tours tomorrow, and I’ve been told in advance, “Be prepared to be stunned!”
These new photos here clearly show the Cirque du Soleil theater for the new Elvis Presley musical, along with the slanted Veer Towers, the Harmon and Mandarin Oriental hotels, plus an overall view of CityCenter and a spectacular shot of the Aria tower by night.
Cirque du Soleil producers will officially announce this morning that the Elvis production will be titled Viva Elvis. Tickets will go on sale soon. The cast of the Las Vegas show flew to Graceland for the announcement.
Viva Elvis, described by Cirque as a harmonious fusion of dance, acrobatics and live music, is a tribute to the life and music of Elvis. Nostalgia, modernity and raw emotion provide the backdrop for his voice and music.
Created in the image of The King of Rock ’n’ Roll, Viva Elvis highlights an American icon who transformed popular music and whose image embodies the freedom, excitement and turbulence of his era. Viva Elvis focuses on the essential humanity of the one superstar whose name will forever be linked with the history of Las Vegas and the world of entertainment.

Finally, Vegas DeLuxe has just learned that Viva Elvis will officially open with its premiere toward the end of January after late December previews.
