With last night’s eliminations on Dancing With the Stars, our three Las Vegas favorites remain safe going into the Final Five.

Flamingo headliner Donny Osmond with partner Kym Johnson, Las Vegas regular Kelly Osbourne and partner Louis Van Amstel and Las Vegas Academy graduate Derek Hough with model and poker princess Joanna Krupa will go up against singer Mya with Dmitry Chaplin and one-time teen heartthrob Aaron Carter partnered with Karina Smirnoff next Monday.

Aaron narrowly avoided elimination by beating out Iron Chef America star Mark Dacascos in the dance-off last night. Mark was partnered with Anna Trebunskaya this week after his regular partner, Lacey Schwimmer, was felled by the flu. Former NFL star Michael Irvin and his partner Anna Demidova also was ousted during last night’s results show.

On the ABC broadcast, Derek performed with his Ballas Hough band pal Mark Ballas, last year’s pro dancer winner with Shawn Johnson and who competed with Melissa Joan Hart this Season 9. Rocker turned crooner Rod Stewart also performed, along with singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat.

Analysts are now narrowing down their choices for the final three weeks and predicting that Las Vegas will have at least two dancers in the final trio: Donny and Kym and Derek and Joanna. It’s anybody’s guess if Mya, Aaron or Kelly is axed next week. My bet is that the contest on Monday will be between Mya and Aaron as to who stays on for the third vacant spot in the finals, and that, unfortunately, Kelly will be chopped either next week or the week after.

Once again next Monday and Tuesday, we will have our spoiler-alert stories along with our real-time Twitter reports. Check back later this morning for dance floor action photos from last night’s broadcast.
