For the eighth year, adult movie actress Tera Patrick will attend the Adult Video Network Awards show in Las Vegas, and Saturday she will win the highest accolade when she'll be inducted into the porn world’s Hall of Fame. She has reached the very pinnacle of sex-cess! Now, however, the tall temptress has begun to turn her bare shoulders and use her long, lascivious legs to slowly walk away from the business that made her a mini-tycoon and world-famous XXX-rated star.
Tera has revealed for the first time that she’s going mainstream. She’s got a new book deal to pen her own autobiography; she’s busy running her video production company and Website Teravision; she has her lingerie and fashion line; and she’s about to launch her own starring burlesque show right here in Las Vegas.
“I feel like Wonder Woman,” she laughed when we had an exclusive interview over champagne at The Venetian. “In fact, I’ve broken with tradition and am reinventing the wheel. We’re going completely outside the box. We aren’t even on the convention floor this year around. I’m hosting five events in three days, and at each it gives me the opportunity to be right with my fans who’ve come here from around the world. We’ve literally taken up residence in the nightclubs of Tao at The Venetian and Lavo at the Palazzo, where there’s a much better atmosphere to meet fans, sign photos and sell DVDs.”
Tera also hosts the first “Porn Star Ball” with rocker Dave Navarro and will play deejay at the party tonight at Tao. Her induction into the Hall of Fame will feature her flashing back to 2000, when she was just arriving on the scene as an unknown starlet. But it’s her dream of launching a Vegas burlesque show that has her most excited of all.
She told me: “I’ll always keep my foot in this business because of our video distribution company and Web site. But I’m far more into mainstream business now. I’ve accomplished everything there is in the porn world. I wont completely say goodbye, but there are so many areas of bigger better business to now tackle. I won’t disappoint my fans. I’ll still flash the flesh and go topless when they demand it, but you’ll be seeing a lot less of me! I’m now enjoying my success, and everything is all positive. It just keeps going up and up.
“I’m moving away from porn and shopping for a new home for the burlesque show we have created. I’m even working with two professional dancers who star with Bette Midler nightly at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace! It’s an extension of what I did when I danced at Ivan Kane’s 40 Deuce club at Mandalay Bay. We’ve done a sexy surprise sneak peek to hint at what I’m bringing to Vegas, and everybody is amazed by it. We know there are other topless cabaret shows in Vegas, and we’re not knocking them. We’re so different. We can’t be accused of being copy-cats, but there will surely be people copying us when they see us.”
Tera, who is acknowledged as the reigning royal of her business, is mum on which casino hotel she’s linking up with, but hopes to be able to announce her new four-wall deal shortly after this weekend’s final negotiations. It’s not where everybody thinks she is going, and although I know, I’ll keep it secret until they tell me the deal is signed -- and they let me be the first to reveal it!
She’s nominated for 15 awards tomorrow, but congratulations also are due to Tera and husband Biohazard rocker Evan Seinfeld, who are celebrating a double anniversary this weekend. They’ve been in their unique romantic relationship exactly seven years and were married here five years ago at the Little White Wedding Chapel.

What a prestigious honor to be inducted into the porn hall of fame. Those tattoos on Teras arm are gonna look real sexy when she's pushing 50.
