It was a staggering turnout, a sea of Santas as far as the eye could see! At last check this morning, the bib numbers handed out topped 14,595, but we won’t know until Monday if we’ve wrested the Guinness World Record back until after an accurate final count.
It was the annual Great Santa Run to benefit our beloved local charity Opportunity Village, and I joined NASCAR champion Kurt Busch and our Merry Mayor of Mirth Oscar Goodman to kick off the run (and walk) festivities at Town Square. We’ll have the full story and photo gallery right here at VegasDeLuxe.com on Monday, but in the meantime, enjoy these early photos I shot as we await the official count. For now, it looks as if we successfully doubled last year’s numbers!
