* Hugh Hefner, 82, and his 28-year-old longtime girlfriend, Holly Madison, have called it quits -- and the star of "Girls Next Door" confirmed it late yesterday on her MySpace blog. We reported yesterday that she'd first revealed the bust-up Monday night while being stalked by paparazzi cameramen at a Hollywood restaurant.
Here's a portion in her own words: "My current mood is lonely! Hef and I care about each other immensely and will always be best friends...I do have my own place, but I am still at the Mansion, too, right now...I'm too busy to move even if I wanted to! hahaha."
Holly has been linked in recent weeks with our hometown "Mindfreak" magician Criss Angel -- and in between his rehearsals for the new Cirque du Soleil show "Believe" they were seen cuddled up together at both the resort's Cathouse ultra-lounge and at the Blush nightclub at the Wynn.
* TV talk show queen Tyra Banks will talk Vegas on Thursday when her entire hour is devoted to everything she did on her recent Sin City visit. The gorgeous Victoria Secret model filmed behind the scenes of the Janet Jackson concert, and the show also includes scenes she shot at the Cirque du Soleil "Zumanity" show in New York New York and Bette Midler's show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. While in town, Tyra stayed in a beautiful penthouse suite atop the Palms Place.
* Actress Heather Graham took time out from filming her scenes in the new "The Hangover" film to see Cirque du Soleil’s Beatles musical "Love" at the Mirage. The film’s director, Todd Phillips, escorted her to the show and both went backstage afterward to meet the cast and congratulate them. The Hangover is a set-in-Las Vegas comedy "centered around three groomsmen who lose their about-to-be-married buddy during their drunken misadventures -- then must retrace their steps in order to find him."
* Bette Midler took three friends for sushi, sake and green tea at Sushi Roku in the Forum Shops before she walked back to the Colosseum theater for her show.
* Michael Johns from this season's "American Idol" show stopped by BOA Steakhouse in Caesars' Forum Shops for cocktails. The Australian contestant wound up in eighth place but many fans and critics said he deserved to be one of the top three competitors.
* Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon still were rocking early Wednesday morning at Pure nightclub in Caesars Palace. Nick celebrated his birthday at the chic nightspot -- and also jumped on the turntables as guest DJ for part of the night. His party capped a five-day visit to Vegas, which began with Mariah's own festive party at the rival Bank nightclub in the Bellagio. The couple, who secretly were married after a speedy romance earlier this year at the superstar singer's oceanfront mansion in the Bahamas, held hands for most of the night. "They are totally in love," one of my spies telegraphed me this morning. "They can't keep their hands and arms off each other."
With Pure nightclub packed with excited fans, Mariah and Nick stepped into the spotlight shortly after midnight. They took over a luxurious white-leather VIP bed alongside the DJ booth on the club's main VIP stage. Nick jumped on the turntables almost immediately, grabbed the mic and thanked everybody for coming out to help him celebrate the his birthday night extravaganza. At 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, Nick paid tribute to his new wife by mixing a medley of some of Mariah's hottest hits throughout her musical career, including “Fantasy,” “It's Like That” and “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time.”
* The cast and crew of "Sunset Tan" celebrated its Season Two finale with two nights of partying. On the first night, co-owner Devin Haman flew in from L.A. to party with his cast at the Palms' Moon nightclub, then on Night Two, Janelle Perry hosted a party in the Playboy Club.
* It’s the ultimate lineup of comedy kings and queens for the fourth-annual Comedy Festival set for Caesars Palace to kick off Nov. 20 and run through Nov. 22. One of the key highlights has to be an all-star celebrity crowd to roast newly reunited "Up in Smoke" stars Cheech Marin and priceless partner Tommy Chong on Friday evening, Nov. 21. Other headliners include Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen DeGeneres, Dane Cook, Katt Williams, Tracy Morgan and Jeff Dunham for the TBS television special "A Very Funny Festival."
* Over at the new ROK club inside the New York New York resort, singer Ryan Cabrera held court palling up with Jonathan Bennett of "Mean Girls," Freddy Booker of the Australian rock band The Saints and stunning Jasmine Dustin on her second consecutive party night. When rap mogul Suge Knight stopped by for a brief visit she even snagged a photo with him.
* VH1’s "Rock of Love" star Ambre Lake hosted a BikeFest bash at Torrid in the Hawaiian Tropic Zone in Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile. Rapper Vanilla Ice, a friend from our "Fame Games" TV series, stopped by. Ambre and the Hawaiian Tropic models showcased the latest outfits from the Revolution Rock clothing line.
