* Oscar-winning actor-singer Jamie Foxx discovered a new way to party during his most recent Las Vegas visit: bounce back and forth between sister nightclubs Tao and Lavo at The Venetian and the Palazzo, respectively. He jumped between the two hotspots so much that it was difficult to track down where he started and where he wound up!
But this "Ray" and "Dreamgirls" movie star-singer sure knows how to party and get the ladies all over him. At one point, he simply picked up a security guard’s flashlight to shine it on the dance floor and pick out the girls he wanted by his side!
At Lavo in the Palazzo, Jamie kept on his diamond-studded sunglasses and a black scarf, and his all-male entourage followed him to a couch where he danced and sang along with DJ Five’s playlist. When Bell Biv Devoe’s “Poison” blasted across the club’s sound system, the all-guy group broke into an orchestrated routine on the dance floor.
Over at Tao in The Venetian, Jamie’s crew had grown to 30 people for his arrival there. He grabbed the club’s mic and held court standing on the catwalk. First, he reminded the crowd that his new album is released on Dec. 16 -- and then he started singling out ladies from the dance floor using the flashlight.
“There was no shortage of sexy young women who wanted to get up close to him and shake it for him,” said one spy witness.
That ’70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama grabbed another mic, and, for a few moments, he and Jamie battled it out with some beat boxing. Record mogul Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds also was at Tao hosting his brother’s bachelor party in a secluded skybox and watched Jamie’s show on the dance floor.
* Out-of-town paparazzi swarmed soccer superstar David Beckham wherever he went on his trip into Las Vegas over the weekend. It got so bad at MGM that security guards had to rescue him from British boxer Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton’s victory party and escort him for safety reasons out of Studio 54. The crush of fans and cameras was apparently just too much to handle.
Beckham, along with Oasis rocker brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, had arrived at the nightclub after midnight, which was packed wall to wall -- and many of the crazed crowd had flown over from England. With the British superstars on parade, it turned into a screaming mob scene.
At 1 a.m., a devoted band decked out in Ricky Hatton capes drummed out the now-famous “Hatton Wonderland” fight song, and the entire place chanted along. The newly crowned champion fighter grabbed a mic to thank fans for their intense support, and then he and Beckham hugged before the soccer star signaled it was time to get out.
He headed off to Nobu at the Hard Rock for a three-hour late sushi and sashimi supper with friends who kept the photogs at bay before they sped back at 4 a.m. to their $25,000-a-night, 10,000-square-foot Hardwood Suite at George Maloof’s Fantasy Tower in the Palms.
* Yesterday we told you that Good Charlotte rocker and Paris Hilton’s most recent ex Benji Madden had begun his bachelor-at-play visit to Las Vegas with a dinner at N9NE steakhouse, followed by the Playboy Club upstairs at the Palms. But he didn’t stop there.
He wound up spinning a one-hour DJ set in the middle of the night at Carey Hart’s Wasted Space in the Hard Rock, where he is a partner, and before dawn he also went to Body English nightclub to watch hip-hop legend KRS-One perform. For the record, no gorgeous blondes on his arm -- yet!
* Partygoers just fell in love with Playboy playmates Kara Monaco (PMOY 2006) and Janine Habeck (Germany’s PMOY 2005) when they hosted a Tabu Ultra Lounge party in MGM Grand that went well into the wee hours pre-dawn. Kara wore an off-the-shoulder, sexy, short black mini dress, and Janine donned a tight pale pink dress.
* Smooth ladies man Usher ordered up Kobe beef when he hit Sushi Roku’s Red Sun Lounge late night. Comedy star Dane Cook was next door in the Boa Steakhouse at Caesars Palace Forum Shops, where he ordered lobster tails.
* Orthodox Jewish rap, reggae and rock artist Matisyahu entertained an entourage on the outside patio terrace of Lavo in the Palazzo, where Mehcad Brooks, co-star of HBO’s hot "True Blood" series, dined with friends.
* Actor Brian Baumgartner from NBC’s "The Office" cheered on the contestants at Tao nightclub’s third-annual Go-Go dance-off contest in The Venetian. Funnyman Jamie Kennedy joined Brian just as the $10,000 winner’s prize was awarded.
* Across the Strip at Christian Audigier nightclub in T.I., former "Baywatch" star Jeremy Jackson partied for at least the third time this month -- and still stuck to just Fiji water
* When Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt arrive here on New Year’s Eve to celebrate the Dec. 31 countdown at Christian Audigier nightclub in Treasure Island, they will be a newlywed Mr. and Mrs. "The Hills" couple after being secretly married last week, eloping to the Mexican millionaire playground of Cabo San Lucas.
The surprise wedding took place at the One & Only Palmilla Resort in Cabo owned by billionaire hotel magnate Sol Kerzner, who plans to build a duplicate of his Atlantis resort casino in the Bahamas here on the Strip alongside Circus Circus.
In his vows, Spencer called his newlywed “the light of my life.” As part of the nuptials, Spencer told Heidi, “I now feel complete.” Heidi admitted that she was in tears after the marriage, which she hid from her parents.
It was so secret that Heidi’s father and sister didn’t have a clue even when reporters started quizzing them about it yesterday. The blonde actress had always said she wanted a “fairytale princess religious wedding in a church,” so the family is baffled why she ran off to Mexico for the surprise marriage.
“I would be upset if she got married and didn’t invite me," her father Bill Montag told People magazine last night. “We will just have to have another wedding here.”
