Saying the case is moot, Judge Todd Russell has dismissed a conservative think tank's lawsuit against a Democratic state senator.
Because Mo Denis no longer works for the state, Russell said there is no "live controversy" and no applicable exceptions to the mootness rule.
The order, filed Friday, is at right.
