Heller boasts of voting twice for Ryan budget in fundraising pitch

Nevada Democrats have stuffed media inboxes from here to Washington for months about Dean Heller’s multiple votes for the Paul Ryan budget, describing him as some kind of Medicare serial killer.

Heller, clearly stung by the criticism, backed off a bit in August during interviews with Anjeanette Damon and yours truly that he was not “wedded” to the proposal.

But I now have a copy of a Sept. 9 fundraising solicitation from Heller in which he fairly brags about his multiple votes for the Ryan budget. Here is the verbiage:

“Berkley opposes a balanced budget amendment. I have voted over and over for a balanced budget. That’s why I voted to pass Paul Ryan’s budget AGAIN (emphasis his) after voting for it earlier in the House.”

Sounds like he’s not only married to it but he has renewed his vows.

The missive is posted at right.
