NRSC welcomes Obama to Las Vegas with brutal web video featuring Reid, Berkley, too

Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011 | 5:37 p.m.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee is heralding President Obama's visit to Las Vegas on Monday with a scintillating web video that uses some classic hits already used on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (and his new "private sector jobs" instant classic) and Senate hopeful Shelley Berkley (that New York Times story on her husband's business), along with a gut shot from ex-Mayor Oscar Goodman lambasting the president for his much-hyped "don't go to Vegas" remarks.

"The Berkley-Reid-Obama disaster" And you can tell this is more about the pivotal Senate race: The last shot is not of Obama or Reid, but of Berkley.

It's quite the montage.

  1. Anyone with half a brain knows the Republican Party is responsible for the condition of the Nation's economy!

No doubt, President Obama mis-calculated the severity, taking office during a period many of us were losing our jobs, mainly from a lack of demand here in the USA and the outsourcing of jobs to China. The Brush administration, with help from democrats, promoted US companies to move offshore using tax-breaks and an underlining strategy by special interest to break the Unions here in the USA.

What is certain, right now-today, is the special interest is not fighting for, or concerned about the middle class.

Through all of President Obama efforts in moving the ecomony forward, we have not seen anything, or any help from the Republicans! None!

Independent voters are taking note! After all, neither party's base can elect a president, you need independent voters.

  2. No, longtime, the voting public mis-calculated by electing a guy with no background, no experience and no clue as to how to govern except by spending wildly and by continually attempting to limit our lives with his socialist agenda. Osama Obama has been a disaster for the majority of working, er, now still unemployed, Americans. He's an economically challenged moron of the highest order. The moron put a tax cheat in charge of the Treasury Dept and picked an avowed Communist as one of his "Czars." Come November 2012 we will make Osama Obama a one-term president. This time white guilt & black pride will not be sufficient to reelect the bobble-head! Goodbye and good riddance to the second coming of Jimmy Carter!

  3. We're still going down after the stock market crash and meltdown of Wall Street finance giants like Lehman Bros. in 2008.

The worst recession in 70 years and Obama didn't fix it fast enough? The only action taken by Republicans to turn the economy around is give tax breaks to the wealthy and try to prevent new regulations on Wall Street, because they want another shot at pirating the economy for profit.

The Pirates of the Potomac want to get back into the White House. If this country lets them it deserves the disaster and wars to follow: BIG WARS for God...and there are no negotiations when one is working for God to save America.

  4. Notice how people who claim to not be racist, continue to use Osama Obama.

  5. Obama resents the millionaires and billionaires.......but he will still glady accept their campaign contributions.

  6. How many jobs were created during bush's two terms? Answer: 1.3 million by 8 = 140 thousand jobs per year he barely created ten thousand job a month. And somehow the Republicans believe they are the party of job creators! We already have enough comedians in Las Vegas you Republicans need change your skill set to another classification.

  7. I'm laughing at that stupid paid political advertisement.

During the period 2009-2010, all we heard from the Republican Party was attack ads centered around the Triumvirate of Impending Doom which consisted of Obama/Pelosi/Reid.

Now, switch to 2011. The despicable and diabolical NEW Triumvirate of Impending Doom is the evil machinations of Obama/Berkley/Reid.

You ask me, it really seems like the Republican Party never seems to run out of people to attack. The targets designated to be the focal point of attacks by Karl Rove seem to change with the wind. Kinda reminds me of Don Quixote fighting windmills. Never seem to run out of them.

They run on a platform of jobs, jobs, jobs back in 2010. Then, the ones who got elected into Congress, get there and en masse they start screaming abortion, abortion, abortion. Really, really dumb.

The Republican Party has been hijacked by a way out there right wing extremism that is incapable of doing anything except complain. They spend more time refining their radicalism and protesting than they do in solving problems this nation faces.

  9. @Noindex...

"Obama resents the millionaires and billionaires"...

This is, of course, silly right-wing rhetoric.
Thomas, of course, knows this to be true.

It's like "Obama ruined our economy".
It's like "Obama ruined Las Vegas's economy".
Rhetoric that is well understood by the majority of people to be silly right-wing talking points with no factual basis whatsoever.

Asking people that have been enjoying TAX CUTS for these past ten years, and that have also taken full advantage of government handouts (and then complained to the high heavens that "Obama is spending us into oblivion") is not analogous with 'resenting millionaires & billionaires'.
Especially when many of the millionaires & billionaires are in full agreement with the President on the subject.

  10. The Dem's had two years of complete control and all they could do was spend. No plan, no ideas, just spend.

Now the libs claim the repb's are the party of "no"... Funny how the truth hurts...
