As the entire state Senate began meeting this morning for a detailed presentation on the state budget, Majority Leader Steven Horsford presented a detailed chart of $1.1 billion in new spending and $1.4 billion in cuts. Horsford calls the budgetary gimmicks "revenue enhancements," usually a euphemism for tax increases. They are not taxes but are enhancements, so love that touch.
His chart is at right, showing detailed differences between this biennium and last. He has been using a form of this chart for some time, but not with this detail.
