It's from a missive "From the Desk of Sharron Angle" under the mangled header, "Sharron Angle: Don't Allow are (sic) Veterans to be Betrayed any longer"
And the email, first reported by the Nevada News Bureau's Elizabeth Crum, also contains this priceless paragraph:
The founding principles of our nation have been under siege for some time. It's not just radical groups like al-Qaeda that threaten our liberty, either. Many of our own elected leaders have decided that the Constitution is archaic and, therefore, can be ignored! (Case in point: nationalized healthcare.) Modernized communication technologies, the liberal media, and Alinsky-like doctrine have accelerated a moral decline and an historical ambivalence that threaten the American way of life for us and future generations. Fortunately, there is something you and I can do about it: join or support Veterans in Defense of Liberty today.

Fellow American Patriot,
As a proud American, I was very disappointed when Veterans of Foreign Wars-PAC (VFW-PAC) betrayed America and American Veterans by endorsing liberal members of Congress like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer and Ron Klein in the last election, instead of standing with principled candidates (and fellow Veterans) like Jesse Kelly (AZ-8), Ilario Pantano (NC-7) and Allen West (FL-22).
It is the duty of America's Veterans (and all active duty and reserve military personnel) to defend the Constitution against foreign and domestic enemies. But when VFW-PAC chose Washington money politics over the will of its Veteran constituency and mission, it left a void in the already poorly, politically represented Veterans community. That's why a group of concerned veterans have united to defend the Constitution and the liberties it protects by forming Veterans in Defense of Liberty.
Veterans in Defense of Liberty (ViDoL) is dedicated to promoting conservatism in the tradition of the Founding Fathers in order to maintain the integrity of our Republic's constitutional, moral and biblical principles through the use of political action and education. I'm proud to be a part of this organization as a member of the Advisory Board, and I hope you will consider becoming involved in it as well.
Members and supporters of ViDoL still believe that our great country and Constitution are worth defending. If you also believe, as they do, that the oath you took as a member of the U.S. military did not fade away when you took off your uniform for the last time, I would like to extend to you an invitation to join Veterans in Defense of Liberty today. Sharron Angle should be ashamed of herself. Who is she to tell the Veterans of Foreign Wars that they betrayed America? She never fought in a war. Everyone of my brothers and sisters that have fought in war or served our country in the Armed Forces so that scum like Angle could spread her hatred against us.

Angle needs to stop pretending that she has any sort of similarities or is capable of being a voice for ViDol and go home and take her MiDol.
There was only one reason for this letter and it can be summed up in two words, "generous contribution." That's it. That's all she really wants for "America". Money! Sure, everyone does. But not everyone does it by trying to scare everyone into thinking the constitution is under attack.
Fact is, what liberals and conservatives have done, are doing, and will continue to do, is exactly the heart of what the constitution was written for. No one side is correct. We will always disagree. Sometimes we may agree. The fact is we are free to do so.
Just my two cents -- two cents more than Angle is going to get from my "generous contribution."

If Angle thinks she can pigeon hole veterans she's crazy. If the Republicans are going to have any chance in Nevada they have got to prevent this nit wit from gaining the nomination or splitting the ticket and enabling the opposition party, regardless of who that is.
I'm not comparing Angle to them in substance but her arrogance reminds me of the Westboro Baptist wackos that try to shove their views down others throats to the point of inciting violence.
Angle has a real chance of winning the primary if there are 2 or 3 strong traditional Republicans running given the makeup of CD2.
The Whigs of Nevada really need to get the message out in CD2 and find a flag bearer for the general election. If nothing else, we could guarantee Angle would not win in November if she took the primary. We would siphon off all the moderate Republican vote (yes, Virgina, there really are moderate Republican voters.)
I am not surprised. Nevada needs someone that will work across the aisle to get things done, otherwise it'll just be Washington gridlock as usual. I'm a Republican but she will NOT have my vote.

As a veteran, I would like to tell Ms. Angle to shove her opinion of me up her $%@.
Angle is an Wolf in Sheep's clothing, she is nothing more than a Third Party which is the IAP (Independant American Party member, If you don't believe me, Google Sharron Angle Independant American Party, you will see exactly what she is all about.

How's this for an idea on how to help to defeat Angle? Everyone send five cents to her organization. That will force them to put you on her mailing list, and the cost to her group of postage, paper, envelopes, and labor will help drain her funds.

Let's put CRAZY aside for a moment, and consider some relevant issues.
Over the last ten years the US has sent hundreds of thousands of its BEST YOUNG CITIZENS into two Muslim countries. These young citizens have seen first hand how poor education, male dominance of women, and the intrusion of fundamentalist religion into government results in an unfair and fruitless society.
It would not be surprising to me, if upon returning to US soil and getting on with their lives, that these veterans might reject the obscene rhetoric of demagogues like Sharron Angle. Hence the need for a separate veteran's organization for Sharron's like-minded people.
But this "take my ball and go home" tactic has consequences ...

The Teabagged wing of the Republican Party thinks there exists this vast horde that follows them, but for some reason, remains silent. Like Nixon, they are delusional that the "Silent Majority" exists. Any tactic that creates parallel organizations like the "Veterans in Defense of Liberty," just for Teabaggers has the effect of marginalizing, not empowering, anyone that chooses to join. There simply are not enough extremists out there.

This sort of rhetoric is foolish nonsense; she will say or do anything to get herself elected. Yes, this is primarily a ploy to raise funds. She seems to have figured out how to bilk the Nevada electorate out of money. I'm sure there are those who love her, but I sure wish they would find something else to do with her. Senator Reid is a joke, but Angle will be much worse, please stop encouraging her. I met her, I worked with her, and she could not persuade me to vote Republican in 2010. I won't vote for her this time or ever; even if she's running against an orangoutang.

"Although Wisconsin has a Democratic reputation these days -- it backed the party's presidential candidates in 2000, 2004 and 2008 -- the state was dominated by Republicans for a full century after the Civil War. The Democratic Party was so ineffective that Wisconsin politics were largely conducted as debates between the progressive and conservative wings of the Republican Party. The Teabaggers, with their own version of reactionary politics, threaten to empower the Democratic Party, and other liberal organizations, by driving moderates out of the Republican fold. There is only so far right or left that a political party can go before they alienate a good number of folks who would normally be part of that organization.
Now, getting back to crazy. It is probably a good thing for Sharron Angle that she does not have a nephew who thinks like Ross Perot.
Look whose talking... The GOP has the most traitors to the US Constitution than any other party! They are even considering changes to voting laws to raise voting ages in order to affect the outcome of votes in their favor.

If you want our state and nation to do better you must get people out to vote for Democrats. The fanatic we have in the Governor's office and those conservatives in the state and national legislature are destroying the state and nation.

As someone who is on active duty in the military, I am disgusted that Sharron Angle says these things and the few loyal supporters she has are stupid enough to believe her!!! In Storey County, where I live, dems have a hard time getting elected, and sometimes change party registration for the primary so they can at least have a vote on which gop candidate is going to beat them in the fall. If dems did that statewide, Angle would surely be the gop candidate.
