GOP Sen. Dean Heller has a 48-44 lead on Democratic Rep. Shelley Berkley in a poll taken last week for his campaign.

The survey was conducted by The Tarrance Group's Dave Sackett, who has had consistently good results in Nevada. He also polled last cycle for Gov. Brian Sandoval.

The survey of 501 voters has a margin of error of about 4.5 percent.

This is where this race is likely to remain for some time - barring anything unforeseen. That is, close.

Sackett's memo is posted at right.

  1. Heller votes against Nevadans everytime he votes. he votes to eliminate Medicare and to reduce Social Security for our seniors. How anyone can vote for this good for nothing is beyond comprehension.

  2. The poll began on the third floor and went all the way up to the Penthouse and Sunroom at the top.

  3. Good one sunjon - maybe it is a backbone hunting for a Republicrat?

  4. It's a long way to go until 11/12. If the republicans keep walking out of meetings, telling the President what to do, being the party of no, being mercilessly rude and arrogant, putting bills and policies that gut the social fabric of America while giving tax cuts to unamericans shipping jobs overseas, telling us that we have to hate gays, submit women to neandrathals and violence, put ethnics back into slavery(especially our President), acting like spoiled ignorant brats doing dangerous things to our country, and throwing tantrums to not co-operating to get our country working again(which they don't want to)by closing loopholes for the rich; the democrats will soar back in Congress and Nancy Polosi will be speaker again and finally, our federal government will work again. Remember, she got over 200 bills passed when she was there. What has Boehner done? Doing his best to keep his chair from Cantor, making sure if he can keep the babies in line and can't, cannot pass important bills to law so we can have jobs and keep the country from ending up like GREECE, seeing his best to make President Obama fail and not working, and just plainly not working for jobs. He and McConnell want us to fail. That way we default and it will cost us more in interest(a tax), which the rich don't pay for and will buy our debt to get more from us. And they say no new taxes on them; but us, that's ok. And they really believe they can get our country to be submissive to their will. They really believe they can win the WH and the senete. I wonder who will run this country? Their president, the Koch Bros, China, oil and Saudi Arabia, Chamber of Congress, or Wall Street? You guess!

  5. The toad-faced wanna-be-felon ought to be defeated. She's a disgrace! No morals, no ethics and no sense of right or wrong! I'm appalled to have her representing me in Congress and would be mortified to have such a low-life representing me in the U.S. Senate.

  6. Is this the same Pollster that showed Sharon Angle winning the Senate race?
